Major General Md Jubayer Salehin, SUP, ndu, psc has joined as the 26th Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur on 24 January 2021. Prior to his current assignment, he was the General Officer Commanding of an Infantry Division. Major General Jubayer Salehin was born on 1st February 1970. An ex-cadet of Cumilla Cadet College, Major General Jubayer was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers on 23 December 1988 with 19th Bangladesh Military Academy Long Course. Major General Jubayer Salehin has an illustrious career of more than three decades with a fine mix of diverse responsibilities. He commanded an Infantry Division, an Engineer Construction Brigade, an Infantry Brigade and two Engineer Battalions. He also commanded an Engineer Unit in United Nations Mission in South Sudan. He was a Platoon Commander in Bangladesh Military Academy. He was a Brigade Major in an Engineer Brigade. He was a faculty member in School of Infantry and Tactics, and also in the Defence Services Command and Staff College of Bangladesh. He was a lead member of Bangladesh Engineer Contingent in Kuwait for clearance of explosive ordnance devices after the 1st Gulf War. Major General Jubayer Salehin is a Sapper officer with diversified knowledge on various fields of military profession. He has completed a number of post commission military training both at home and abroad. The General has been awarded ‘Army Medal of Excellence (Sena Utkarsho Padak – SUP)’ in recognition to his extraordinary results in different courses. Major General Jubayer Salehin is a graduate of Defence Services Command and Staff College of Bangladesh. He is also a Graduate of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Civil Engineering. He completed Masters of Business Administration from Institute of Business Administration, Masters in Defence Studies from National University of Bangladesh and, Masters in National Security Strategy from National Defence University of USA. Major General Jubayer Salehin has visited many countries of Asia, Europe, North America and Africa. A traditional family man, the General is married to Samia Diwan and is proud father of two daughters. He takes keen interest in reading, golfing and travelling. |
Air Commodore Hasan Mahmood Khan, GUP,nswc, psc was born on 20 June 1966 in Dhaka. He joined Bangladesh Air Force as Flight Cadet on 19 January 1984 in 12 GD(P) (13 BMA L/C) and commissioned on 15 June 1986 in General Duties (Pilot) Branch.

Air Commodore Hasan Mahmood Khan, GUP, nswc, psc was born on 20 June 1966 in Dhaka. He joined Bangladesh Air Force as Flight Cadet on 19 January 1984 in 12 GD(P) (13 BMA L/C) and commissioned on 15 June 1986 in General Duties (Pilot) Branch. During his long military service career, he held a number of important command, staff and instructional appointments. Air Cdre Hasan is an esteemed Fighter pilot of Bangladesh Air Force. He is operational pilot of F-6, A-5 IIIA, F-7MB, F-7BG and MiG-29 aircraft. He is one of the pioneers of Mig-29 Squadron who was initially trained in Russia. Later on the air officer has also flown Bell-206 helicopter. The air officer symbolizes the smartness and dynamism of Air Force. He left his strong footsteps and sign of difference wherever he served. He did his flying instructors’ course from USAF and became a distinguished graduate. The air officer clinched the prestigious “TOP GUN” trophy as a young Flight Lieutenant. He commanded the prestigious 8 Squadron (Mig-29 Squadron) thrice. While serving as OC Training Wing, he implemented the new training system for airman. He was the maiden independent Commandant of BAF Academy. Female pilots of BAF started flying under his direct supervision when he was the Deputy Commandant of BAF Academy. The Air Officer has also served as Staff Officer to ACAS (0&T), Deputy Director of Air Operations, Directing Staff of Defense Services Command and Staff College, OC Flying Wing BAF Base Bangabandhu (twice), Director of Air Operations (twice), Director of Plans and Director of Air Intelligence. The air officer has served twice In UN peace support mission, once in Sierra Leon and once in DR Congo. For his outstanding service, the air officer was awarded with three COAS commendations, Flying Efficiency Badge and Gourabojjal Uddayan Padok (GUP). He has attended various courses at home and abroad. He is a graduate of Defense Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur, Air Force Command College, Beijing, China and National Strategic and War Course from National Defense University, Pakistan. He has earned Masters in Defence Studies from National University, Bangladesh and Masters in National Security and War Studies from National Defence University, Pakistan. Air Cdre Hasan is a keen golfer. He enjoys reading books & journals, watching movies and documentary films. He is happily married to Mrs Saleha Khan and blessed with a daughter and a son. His daughter; Ms Sarah Basharat Hasan is a student of MBBS while son Mr Sameer Hasan Khan is student of A levels. Prior to his present appointment as the Deputy Commandant of Defence Services Command & Staff College, Mirpur he was Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Cox’s Bazar.
Brigadier General Abul Hasnat Mohammad Tariq, ndu, afwc, psc is the 25th Chief Instructor of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur. He has taken over the responsibility on 13 August 2020. Prior to his current assignment, he had been attending National War College Course 2019-20 in the United States.

Brigadier General Abul Hasnat Mohammad Tariq, ndu, afwc, psc is the 25th Chief Instructor of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur. He has taken over the responsibility on 13 August 2020. Prior to his current assignment, he had been attending National War College Course 2019-20 in the United States. He was born in the district of Netrokona on 31 December 1971 and had his childhood education in Dhaka till joining Mirzapur Cadet College. A dedicated military professional, Brigadier General Tariq was commissioned on 20 December 1992 in the corps of Infantry with 27th BMA Long Course. He had commanded an infantry battalion, an infantry brigade, and a UN contingent. He had been the Brigade Major of an infantry brigade and Operations Officer in a UN sector headquarters. He has also served twice as a Directing Staff in Deffence Services Command and Staff Colleges, Mirpur. Besides the regimental services, Brigadier General Tariq had served as Assistant Director in the Special Security Force (SSF), Bangladesh, Group Testing Officer (GTO) in the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB), and Battalion Commander of Training Battalion in Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre. He has about four years of operational service in Chattogram Hill Tracts. Under the blue helmet, he had served as a UN military observer in UNAMSIL (Sierra Leone), Operations Officer in a Sector Headquarters in UNMIL (Liberia), and a Contingent Commander in the deadliest peacekeeping environment of MINUSMA (Mali). He is a graduate of Defence Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur and National War College, USA. He had also attended Armed Forces War Course from National Defence College, Bangladesh. Beside the training courses in Bangladesh, he had under gone International Post Blast Investigation Training in the United States, VVIP Protection Course in Thailand and Knowledge Management and Development Course in Turkey. He obtained Masters in Defence Studies from National University of Bangladesh and Masters in National Security Strategy from National Defense University, USA. A traditional family man, Brigadier General Tariq is happily married to Mrs Sayma Khan and a proud father of two daughters. His areas of interest include golf and travelling.
